Dozens of students hugged pillows and blankets close to their chests after being displaced from their dorm rooms Wednesday night, as these are the only items they have besides the clothes on their backs.
A fire broke out at Clement Hall Wednesday displacing tons of students.
But thankfully the ECU housing staff is taking action to find the students a place to stay. The ECU Housing Department is placing the students in vacant dorm rooms, or they have the option to stay at an off campus site.
Besides ECU's Housing Department, the Red Cross and Salvation Army are also offering up their services, providing things such as toothpaste, shampoo and other toiletry type items.
For parents of students at Clement Hall, there is a number you can call to get more information. It's 1-800-328-7668.
