It's just hours away, the kickoff of the North Carolina lottery. Convenience stores and gas stations across the East are undergoing last minute preparations to make sure they're ready for the mad rush of gamers come Thursday morning. At Mills Market on Highway 43 in Pitt County, their lottery computer is booted up and boxes of scratch off tickets are ready to be sold. Parag Patel, owner of the market, says the anticipation of the games has been nothing but positive. Mills Market, like many other gas stations and convenience stores, will start selling their scratch off tickets at 6 a.m. Thursday.
