Monday was the start of a travel study throughout Pitt County. The State Department of Transportation will stop and ask motorists to participate. The purpose of the study is to examine drivers' travel habits so the state can make better decisions concerning road improvements needed to increase highway safety, along with other things. D.O.T says not everyone will be stopped, but if you are the questions won't take long to answer. The study will run through April 13.
