Students in the health care curriculum at Pitt Community College now have the latest ultrasound technology to help them learn even more about the human body. Pitt Community College held demonstrations Wednesday to highlight the Sequoia Echocardiography System that is now being used to train health care students specializing in ultrasound. The new equipment allows the technician to see a clearer picture of the organs being examined, such as blockages to the heart. The new equipment can also project images in color to get a closer look at the blood flow to an organ.
