A Kinston man is behind bars charged with raping a 15 year old by knife point.

43 year old Tony Burton Taylor is in the Wayne County Detention Center under a three hundred thousand dollar bond tonight.

Deputies say Taylor attacked the teen at Busco Beach in Goldsboro yesterday.

Several campers and staff reported the crime and even located Taylor who they say hid in a section of swampy woodlands.

Investigators say Taylor is a habitual felon.

dna dna dna will tell if she was raped

Posted by: his family Location: nc on Sep 1, 2008 at 10:48 PM
we love him, still innocent,if your DAD, SON,BROTHER,UNCLE,FRIEND, was accussed of this and you knew he was innocent how would you feel if you had to read and hear what this society was saying about your dad, son, brother, uncle, friend i pray this never happens to any of you where your MOM,or DAUGHTER,sister or grandma has to go through this, his mom and daughter and brother and sisters neices and nephews need him and he can stay out of trouble if society would open their eyes about ex cons they dont find out the facts or cant see beyond their past and even give them a chance back in society like amy who doesnt even know him but thinks she has the right to judge him (she dont). his daughter and mother, sisters, brother, neices and nephew, aunt and uncles and cousins will be by his side in and out of court to see him through this, and will make sure its really investigated, you all dont know the whole story unless you are in one of the two familys,we just hope yall dont get falsly accussed

Posted by: family Location: nc on Sep 1, 2008 at 10:23 PM
we love him if he was a murderer, he will not be locked up for life, yes he went to court but it had nothing to do with the so called rape charge and it had nothing to do with you either AMY,Since you think you know so much ,do you also know what hes charged with now, haha i bet you dont. cant wait to go to court if it even goes to court and see everyones face, and the media, we all know hes not a rapist, he would never rape anyone, all of us tax payers are going to take care of more than this , are you even a tax payer

Posted by: Amy Location: NC on Aug 29, 2008 at 11:59 AM
Love him as you should but he needs to be locked up for life. He cannot stay out of trouble matter of fact he just went to court a couple of weeks ago because of trouble he got into prior to the rape charge. How much money do we need to pay as tax payers to constantly take care of his problem. LOCK HIM UP!!! What will the next offense be murder??? But I am sure he will be innocent then too right?

Posted by: family and friends Location: nc on Aug 28, 2008 at 11:52 AM
he has a family that loves him and if innocent he doesnt need to go to prison or the death penalty he is someones son ,dad, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, what if this was one of your family members you yall would feel the same if you believe they are innocent of rape

Posted by: family of accussed Location: nc on Aug 28, 2008 at 11:41 AM
to the accussed, even thoug you see this, still praying for you and your innocence, your MOM, wife, daughter, sisters, neices, aunts, brother, nephew, and cousins all are praying for you and love you very much and miss you,and hope you will come home to us all soon, we all believe in you, and we will get through this with GOD on our side, we will be there for you, no matter what the rest says we love him and we know he is innocent,

Posted by: family Location: nc on Aug 26, 2008 at 07:14 PM
we all are praying and hoping hes found innocent, we will all be there for him, theres always two sides to every story we need to here both sides and do all the testing that is possible for both sides, you all keep saying his track record, just to let you all know he doesnt have a track record for rape, we his family love him with a track record or not we are praying for you and love you

Posted by: someone who cares Location: nc on Aug 24, 2008 at 05:33 PM
we all hope he is innoncent and dont care what the rest says . jeff we dont care if you believe any of this or not we were not talking to you anyway. innocent til proven guilty, you all are going to be shocked when hes proven to be innocent of rape then we all can say told you so

Posted by: JEFF Location: NC on Aug 22, 2008 at 10:30 AM
Tell that to someone who believes it!!!

Posted by: anonymous Location: nc on Aug 12, 2008 at 11:06 PM
the track record doesnt have anything to do with what he is only accused of. never no sex offenses , he is very well known and dont believe he is capable of this crime, you all think so because of what you read or hear,(innoncent til proven guilty).no we havent turned blue in the face, how do you know counseling hasnt worked, i think it does, anyone can walk out there door and be accused of anything, and there you go, innoncent til proven guilty, just because someone has a track record doesnt been they are always guilty sometimes the accused are innoncent, god bless everyone

Posted by: Amy Location: NC on Aug 8, 2008 at 10:44 AM
What will you say if found guilty??? If you suggest that prison won't help what do you think will? I don't think it will be counseling, I am sure you the family have counseled until your blue in the face and that has not worked. As a communtiy what should we think (the track record does not look good). Just as someone stated below my thoughts and prayers are with both families because both parties are hurt no matter what the outcome will be.

Posted by: family of accused Location: nc on Aug 6, 2008 at 09:54 PM
we say innoncent til proven guilty

Posted by: anonymous Location: nc on Aug 5, 2008 at 12:19 PM
INNOCENT TIL PROVEN GUILTY, AND HOPE AND PRAY HES PROVEN TO BE INNOCENT.and if proven to be guilty prison isnt going to help it doesnt help anyone, prisoners need counseling and quidiance before released out in society. and not just a packet of info when you are released , they are still humans, and some do have familys that love and care what happens to them. god bless every one involved. I hope the officials do DNA, lie detector test, and any thing else to get to the truth whole truth and nothing but the truth. and for him and his family i hope hes innocent,

Posted by: Mother of Victim Location: VA on Jul 23, 2008 at 08:20 AM
This is my child you all are talking about! Those of you who stated "innocent until proven guilty" should see the state of turmoil my daughter is in. Within a matter of minutes her life has been changed in a way that will never go away~ all we can do is hope that she is able to heal. She has had to relive this over and over in her nightmares! Trust me when I tell you GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY!!!

Posted by: Anonymous Location: nc on Jul 15, 2008 at 10:39 PM
innocent til proven guilty. he's only been charged not convicted. conviced only in society's eyes. you cant convict someone without knowing the truth. just because he has a prior record for other things nothing like this before,. DNA hopefully will prove he is innocent

I'm not surprised at how clueless people can be, but if I don't comment,I can't blame anyone for their lack of knowledge. It's easy to join the torch carrying mob out for the blood of a felon, and in the case of of any sex offender or violent criminal I couldn't agree more. It's proven that child molesters can't or won't change no matter what. They should at the very least be locked up for life without a possibility of rejoining society. However, many people are convicted felons who are guilty of no more than most of you, they just got caught. For example, if you buy something from someone and it's stolen,if you are aware of it or not, you could be convicted of a felony. Please consider the faulty logic here; one with such a relatively harmless conviction is released from prison with a record that prevents them from obtaining gainful employment or employment at all and possibly drive them to commit other, maybe worse crimes. A man will do what he must to feed his family or eat.

Regardless of how a person is considered a "Habitual Felon", he's had more than one run in with the law and therefore should be dealt with accordingly and then maybe he will get the hint. We don't know how many other people he has assaulted, so the "kid gloves" need to come off and he should get the maximum sentence for his crime if he is found guilty.

Posted by: Todd Location: seven springs on Jul 14, 2008 at 03:43 PM
urge your representatives to pass Jessica's law asap, these creeps need to be killed but if we can't/ won't do that then 25 years sounds about right. I have sat in court and seen these molesters coddled and seen 30, 60 more days added to their probation for breaking probation, it'd be laughable except its too real, too wrong to laugh. You can'y harass the convicted ones or you will be arrested, but it's public record so look up the ones in your area and make sure everyone know about them ( daycares , schools, anyone with kids, etc.) and its ok to let the offender know you know and that you'll be watching, just don't threaten them or do anything to get locked up. Last year a lady I know with small kids was dating a convicted molester and didn't know, and didn't believe it even after we told her until she saw it on the prison web site. Keep up with people where you live and make sure these molesters have no where to hide

This man has been in prison frequently for years. The judicial system should have to pay the girl for her suffering.

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Washington on Jul 14, 2008 at 02:48 PM
People need to understand the term "Habitual Felon". This could mean he was convicted of more than 3 DWI charges! That 4th one can qualify him as a Habitual Felon. Im not taking the Offenders side, just bringing those up to speed on the Felon part. He should reap what he soed!

Posted by: Dee Location: Wayne Co on Jul 14, 2008 at 11:19 AM
Yes, a person s/b considered innocent until proven quilty. BUT, if Mr. Taylor was so innocent, then why was he hiding in the bushes, with a knife? A habitual felon and he was armed? If he doesn't go to jail for rape or sexual assault, then he should go to jail for "possession of deadly weapon by a felon"!!!! I hope that the young lady he assaulted is okay and will get the help that she needs to get through this. It's a tramatic thing to deal with.

Let this crime happen to a law makers chilsd and see how fast a new law is put on the books.

INNOCENT TIL PROVEN GUILTY

Posted by: Anonymous Location: EASTERN NC on Jul 14, 2008 at 12:02 AM
INNOCENT TIL PROVEN GUILTY, AS I SEE IT DNA WILL TELL ALL, I DONT THINK YOU ALL KNOW WHAT A HABITUAL FELON IS, DO YOUR BOOK WORK,AND HE NEVER WANTED TO BEAT ANY ONE WITH A BAT AT WALMART, AND IF THIS IS TRUE THEN GOD BLESS THE GIRL AND HIS FAMILY.WE ALSO CANT JUDGE ANYONE BY THERE PAST. i HOPE HE IS PROVEN TO BE INNOCENT.

Posted by: Josh Location: Greenville on Jul 13, 2008 at 09:28 PM
Once again, a felon is released out in society to committ more heinous crimes.People, the justice system has got to step up and keep these creeps in prison, or at least use the death penalty. Im tired of living in fear of when a felon is going to come out of the woodwork again. Its got to stop.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 13, 2008 at 07:58 PM
Yeah, lets blame the lawyer and judge! It would not make much sense to go after the actual Law Makers on capital hill.. no sir! But if I am correct, we are talking about the same person that wanted to beat someone with a baseball bat in the wal-mart parking lot.

Posted by: LD Location: NC on Jul 13, 2008 at 07:49 PM
A Habitual Felon!!!!Why is he out and about to even be able to be around anybody..I agree what a shame he made it out of the swamp in one piece..

Posted by: Devil Dog Location: New Bern on Jul 13, 2008 at 12:38 PM
Put the Judge, and lawyer who defended him, in prison with this "dirtbag". LIBERALISM strikes again.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 13, 2008 at 09:45 AM
Why isd these men raping these children. This is crazy and the law need to punished him and if he know any that is doing it as well, make him talk so they can put a watch out on him as well. this just got to stop.

Posted by: Anonymous on Jul 13, 2008 at 08:17 AM
Sounds like NC should go to the 3 strikes ACT, It may keep people like this off the streets,

Posted by: Cactus Location: Strabane, NC on Jul 12, 2008 at 10:46 PM
Should this man be found guilty he should never see day or night, ever.

Posted by: Todd Location: 7 springs on Jul 12, 2008 at 09:57 PM
This guy should have been locked up already. Prayers to the young lady, good job to the folks who helped police get him. What a shame he made it out of the swamp in one piece.
