One group of college students has embarked on a rather unusual journey for their spring break. They're floating down the Tar River in a makeshift raft.
It looks like a cross between Huckleberry Finn, and a floating trash pile. But for a group of college students from Appalachian State University, it’s home.
There are some creature comforts, including a solar powered water filter and live music. And get this there's even an enclosed toilet!
The group calls itself the "Daylight Brigade." They hope to reach Washington by Saturday.
