One of the felony charges against the former Plymouth police chief, now running for Washington County sheriff, has been dismissed. That decision was made since we first told you about John Floyd's candidacy last week.
The district attorney says the charge of destruction of evidence was dismissed. He still faces two felony counts of obstruction of justice and solicitation to commit perjury related to a murder case.
Floyd wants to replace Stanley James, who was convicted in January on embezzlement charges.
