Williamston Has Cheapest Gas In State Save Email Print

We found gas stations all across the Martin County town of Williamston, selling regular unleaded for $3.68 cents a gallon, according to statewide estimates, that's the cheapest gas in the state right now.

And of course we found drivers taking full advantage and filling up their tanks. The sudden price drop is all thanks to the grand opening of Murphy Express Gas station in Willimaston. As part of a promotional campaign, the station opened at $3.68 cents, causing all other competing stations to lower their prices as well.

No word on how long the price will last as it is part of a promotional campaign so prices could change at anytime.

If you think that the regular stores are lowering their gas for a big loss just to sell a soda "if the person comes inside" well I don't think so that would be stupid and not good business. No I think these gas stations are selling it higher then what they "could" be selling it which is why they have the ability to lower their prices to compete with the new stores so I say come to Gville Murphy USA and help our gas get lower to help support the citizens and local business people that need cheaper gas to function. Those are the people I worry bout not the other gas stations.

If their gas comes from the Middle East I still don't want it.

If you think Hess is helping you with gas prices, think again. At least Murphy is keeping them honest for a while. Williamston has seen the highest price for gas for quite some time.

Dont buy gas at these new stations. There doing just as walmart has. They come in our towns and put all of our local buisisness out of buisness.By doing this they in essence create a monopoly.Support youre local and small buissiness.Atleast they care about there customers.

How long are we, the consumers, going to put up with these prices? We really have the ability to lower prices by just reducing the amount of driving we do. How have we let ourselves be deceived into believing that $3.50 gas per gallon is a deal? Comeon now.

IF all these gas stations can do it and make a profit for a week than every store can do it. Gas prices are just scams to make the rich richer and poor poorer!

All stations could be this price or lower if the money hungry producers chose to do so. It is all a farce. But what will they say when they cause Obama to be elected......

Is this price 3 dollars and 68 cents a gallon or 3.68 cents a gallon?
