A giant thank you was held in Washington Saturday night, thanking law enforcement for making our roads safer from drunk drivers.
Our loved ones mean the world to us, but tragically some of them are killed every year by drunk drivers. That's why families in Beaufort County came together to help Mothers Against Drunk Driving or MADD, honor the men and women who protect us as well as hear from those in the judicial field on ways to improve the situation. Cindy McCullough nearly lost her son, when a drunk driver hit him, so this thank you was very heartfelt.
Beaufort County MADD is still relatively new and was reactivated this past summer. They hold monthly meetings, if you would like to help.
