Prosecution Wants More Time To Prepare In Former Police Chief Trial

Former Bethel police chief Reginald Roberts may have to wait a little longer to find out his fate on charges of trafficking cocaine and selling a firearm to a convicted felon. He's scheduled to go to trial March 20th. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Bennett filed a motion to have the trial moved to a later date. He says the prosecution needs more time to transcribe audio and video tapes that will be used as evidence in the case. A decision on the motion is expected in the next few days.
