War is an ugly thing, but Saturday it was held under beautiful skies in Lenoir County.
Reenactors in Union dress and Confederate uniforms marched into battle Saturday. It was all part of the reenactment of the battle of Wyse Fork in Lenoir County. The real battle ended with a mass capture of Union soldiers, and hundreds of people watched from the side of the road to hear the gunshots and cannon blasts. There is another reenactment Sunday.
