A skunk found in the Aurora area tested positive for rabies earlier this week according to the Beaufort County Health Department. Animal Control says a dog came into contact with the skunk, but the rabies risk to humans and other pets appears to be low. In response, Animal Control will hold a rabies clinic for Aurora area pet owners this Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon at the public works building in Aurora.
