The 3rd Annual Keith LeClair Classic wrapped up in Greenville Sunday, but not without bringing in some dollars to help a good cause.
ECU's former baseball coach Keith LeClair, suffers from ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease, and some folks were trying to strike out the disease by raising needed dollars for medical research and for families suffering from this illness. Last year they raised about 4,000 dollars at the tournament, and this year they expect to do a little better, thanks to some major help from ECU fans. In fact a group that came in from Charlotte brought 2,000 dollars with them.
Officials said they probably could have raised more money had it not been so cold and windy Sunday.
