Her body was found strangled in an abandoned house in Wilson, and now the Outer Banks family of Joann Anderson is seeking justice. A father's vigil to find answers may help keep a mysterious murder case from going cold. Delroy Bowser has been beating the streets trying to dig up the truth about his daughter's murder. He says he's been running back and forth to Wilson every other weekend, and calling the detective twice a week to find out what's going on. 42-year-old Joann Anderson was found strangled in a corner of a vacant ramshackle house in Wilson early January. She had battled drug addiction for years, and was even forced to relinquish custody of her then two young children seven years ago to her cousin. But Joann got her act together and was drug free for about a year. She was about to come home to Manteo when she was killed. Wilson police tell WITN they are currently working some leads and are awaiting the results of DNA evidence.
