Woman Held At Knifepoint In Greenville Shopping Center

A woman was held at knifepoint in the parking lot of a popular shopping center and left uninjured, though her cell phone and some cash were stolen.

Greenville police say a 59-year-old Target employee was in her car when a man approached her around 10 p.m. Tuesday night at the University Commons shopping Center off Evans Road.

The man got her out of the car at knifepoint, demanding money.

When the woman said she had nothing to give him, the police say he took her cell phone and $40 in cash, then took off.

No word on any arrests in that case. Police reports said the woman was not injured during the robbery.
