Children under age five should get the flu vaccine that statement was issued Wednesday by an advisory panel with the Centers for Disease Control. The panel voted to amend the current flu vaccine recommendations to include children age six months to five years old. Previous guidelines only included children age six months to two years. The C.D.C. will now take the advisory panel's recommendation into consideration, and if they approve the new guidelines, they will apply to next year's flu season.
