It only took a Pitt County jury a few hours Friday to convict a 17-year-old of first degree murder.
The jury came back with that verdict in the case against Jacobie Brockett, who was charged with gunning down 13-year-old Jahmel Little on his front porch in West Greenville last March.
Brockett was also convicted on two other charges, attempted first degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon for injuring another individual during that shooting.
Brockett was sentenced to life in prison.
