On holidays like this, Highway Patrol Troopers are also on the job...But instead of traffic duties, one patrolman had to be a cattle wrangler for wayward bulls.

We told you about this story last night, that two bulls were spotted along busy highway 11 in Kinston just after 8 last night.

They tells us they came from somewhere behind the Dupont plant onto the highway. Troopers say they followed them for almost 2 hours, before they got off the road and disappeared into a field.

PREVIOUS STORY:
Highway patrol expected to be busy this weekend, but probably didn't expect what they encountered in Kinston.

Traffic duties there had one patrolman guiding two bulls down a busy Highway 11 after the animals were spotted along the road.

The trooper first started pushing the bulls backwards before they turned around and just started walking along the side of the road. Motorists like Alfreda Bryant couldn't believe what they were seeing. "I was like what is this and I seen the horns. I was like that was bulls."

The bulls were first spotted around 8:15 p.m. causing many motorists to slow down to take a look.
