We're in the thick of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games and Amanda Ross is continuing to try her luck at some sports. Recently she spent some time on the ski slopes of Sugar Mountain with a former Olympic skier. Krista Schmidinger was on the U.S. Ski team for 11 years and skied in the 92 and 94 winter Olympic Games. She never medaled in the events but 1992 was her best Olympic finish. In the combined race that year, which is both downhill racing and slalom racing, she placed 12th. In fact after the first day of downhill, she was in 2nd place only to drop after her slalom runs the next day. A lot of skiers take up the sport early on. Krista started when she was just two years old.
