Teen Charged With Stealing Equipment From Volunteer Fire Departments

Deputies say they recovered stolen property from two volunteer fire departments after responding to a home in Dudley on an unrelated call.

19-year-old Brian Jones II has been charged with possession of stolen goods, possession of drug paraphernalia and assault on a government employee.

Wayne County deputies say they found eight portable radios, two which belonged to the Faro Fire Department, and six were property of the Arrington Fire Department. They also discovered turnout gear from both departments inside the home.

Deputies expect more charges in the case, while Jones was jailed on an $18,000 secured bond.
