Head of Northeast Partnership Resigns

The president and chief executive officer of North Carolina's Northeast Partnership has resigned.

Rick Watson stepped down from the non-profit group that promotes tourism, travel and economic development.

Some claimed that Watson had a conflict of interest because he worked for the partnership, and was also planning to work on a new entertainment project planned by the Parton family for Halifax County.
