Former Bethel Police Chief Reginald Roberts pled not guilty Monday to five felony drug trafficking and firearms charges. Roberts, indicted by a grand jury last November, will go to trial March 20. Jerome Cox, a former lieutenant with the Bethel Police Department charged in connection with this case, pled guilty to a cocaine trafficking charge in January. As part of Cox's plea agreement he could be called to testify against his former boss, Roberts.
