A Kinston worker was trapped for more than an hour-and-a-half in a piece of machinery before being freed. A maintenance worker at the William Barnet and Son plant in Kinston became trapped in a compactor that he was attempting to service. Emergency workers were finally able to get to him. He was taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital by helicopter, but amazingly only suffering from cuts and abrasions, according to the plant's manager.
