Two Brooklyn Men Charged With Heroin Trafficking In Greenville

Two men from Brooklyn, New York are in jail here in Eastern Carolina after police say they were bringing heroin into the area.

The Greenville Regional Drug Task Force says it wrapped up a several month investigation with the arrest Saturday of the men near the intersection of Greenville Boulevard and Memorial Drive.

Dennis Clemons, who police say was driving a vehicle, and passenger Gerrard Painson were charged with multiple counts of trafficking in heroin and conspiracy.

Police say they found 450 bags of heroin, 45 grams of raw powder heroin and $6,000 in cash inside their vehicle.

The two men are both held under $1,000,000 bonds.
