Sedimentary lifestyles, biological or cultural factors, can all help increase a person's waistline. But some wonder why among all obese Americans, are African Americans plagued by obesity more than any group of people. To find out why and find ways to help, was the goal of nearly a hundred health educators and community leaders who gathered for the 2nd Annual Jean Mills African American Health Symposium in Greenville Friday. Officials say African Americans are not alone, most obese people become complacent with their weight.
