FORT WRIGHT, Ky. --Police in northern Kentucky arrested a woman who officers say traded sex for gasoline.

Police in Fort Wright set up a prostitution sting and said one of the suspects they arrested engaged in sex for a $100 gasoline card and other gifts.

Thirty-four-year-old Angela Eversole of Fort Wright is charged with prostitution and doing business without an occupational license. She pleaded not guilty at a Tuesday arraignment.

Police also arrested a man they said paid Eversole. He is 50-year-old Kenneth Nowak of Avon, Indiana.

Kenton County prosecutor Ken Easterling said it's sad when people are selling their bodies for gas.

I'm mad, all those times I slept with my husband and I still had to use my own money to put gas in my car. When all I needed was an occupational license. He owes me 17 years of free gas. I may not have the license but after 17 years I have the experience!

I agree with all of the comments on this article. If you have a boyfriend or a husband then you are getting paid for the sex so IMO it is no different than what this lady done. Is the goverment going to make a law on sex between boyfriends and girlfriends or husbands and wives? We pay the goverment and oil companies everyday for giving us a good screw so I guess they need to be charged with prostitution as well and I am sure that they do not have a business license either for selling sex. Leave the lady alone and let her do what she has to do to make ends meet and you go out there and get the thugs off of the street that is killing people, stealing, and selling drugs.

Well I guess its like I heard in a movie. Cash, Gas or Booty (the movie used another word) because no one rides for free. You have to look this women needed some gas to get places and probably to work. If the man was cool with it then so be it. I see a lot worse going on in the world. Look at these sorry males who will not pay child support talking about it aint there problem. It was there problem when they helped make the child.

Thats that womans body--can she not do what she wants with it? If the men dont mind paying her money then hey, let them pay. Atleast shes not giving it away for free--all good things come with a price! Shucks that lady had to do what she had to do to make ends meet--Leave her alone and focus on the people out here thats killing for no reason--get wit it

This town must not have any crime rate to waste their time on this. Lock up the prostitutes, turn the drug dealers, killers and armed robbers loose.....hello.

This really ought to send a message to our government. But naturally, they will put all the blame on the woman and say that "there were other alternatives". People are doing the best they can these days to survive. We are going to see more and more of this kind of behavior until something changes.

Where is this nice lady? I have plenty of propane and kerosene if she needs some. Also firewood for the winter. It doesn't hurt to plan ahead. Nothing wrong with a favor either.

george, The website didn't mention anything about the type of technology you described. It will be very interesting to see who comes up with a more efficient vehicle 1st. Maybe the oil conglomerates won't buy up the patent & bury the technology.

I see women everyday who obtain "boyfriends" have sex with them and in return they give the women money, car's etc.. but that is not seen as prostitution why because they don't go out on the street looking for the guy. I think that prostitution laws should be removed if a woman wants to have sex with a man or vice versa and get paid for it then they should be allowed. If women have the right to kill a baby because it's their body (and no I'm not pro-life I'm half/half LOL I think in some situations it might be warranted (rape, something that could kill the mother)) women should be able to have sex for a fee if they want.

That is not the last odd thing you will see happen if gas prices keep going up. People have got to pay the bills somehow. All I can say is she needs to get her a business license and get back to work!

fact of the matter is it was reported in popular mechanics magazine a car is fixing to hit the market in India produced by a company called TaTa motors www.tatamotors.com it runs on compressed air,gets 125 miles to a fill up takes 2 to 3 minutes to refuel and this is no hoax seats 6-7 people and just wait till big oil and the big auto makers and democratic controlled congress(any comments from global warming Gore?) let it be sold in the U.S and did I mention the price under $13,000 it also is enviromentally friendly(no polution)

Anyone else find it slightly funny. We are being "raped" by the gas companies so she probably figured if it sex for gas then it might as well be consentual...I know all of that sounded a little juvinile but if thats what it takes to feed a family I can't say I wouldn't have done it.

The court systems better look out because I think that they will start seeing more and more of this along with more people stealing including people who has never had a criminal record. It is time that Congress steps up and does something about the gas prices and the food prices. It is ashame when people has to decide if they should put food on the table or gas in the car to go to work. Wake up America, as long as Americans keep driving the gas prices will continue to go up so everyone just needs to drive straight to work and straight home for about 30 days then Congress will see how the economy will hurt even more.

I really dont see the problem with this story. This lady was not doing it for the money but for a need. Prostitution should be legal because its the oldest profession and its not going to stop. We are talking about two grown and consenting adults here. There are far worst crimes that could be prosecuted out there. Its not the law, but my opinion.
