The Town of Farmville in Pitt County was also powerless....
Progress Energy Carolinas turned off the electricity at 1am until 5am Sunday.
The Town of Farmville suggested residents have water, flashlights, batteries and other supplies on hand and to keep your refrigerator and freeze doors closed to prevent the loss of cold air.
Power was restored without complication just after 5:30 Sunday morning.

Isn't is a little hot right now to go without A/C? I have small children and animals and I know it would be mighty warm in here by the time they turned it back on!!!
