WITN has learned former South Central High School teacher Katherine Tew, found guilty of indecent liberties with a student, has withdrawn an appeal filed by her attorney following her trial last month. Court documents show Tew's appeal was filed for withdrawal Wednesday morning at the Pitt County courthouse. Court documents also show Tew has met with her probation officer and is scheduled to have a DNA sample taken. Tew is required to register as a sex offender.
