DEPUTIES: Belhaven Man Busted For Growing Weed In His Home

Deputies in Beaufort County said a Belhaven man is facing several drug charges after they found 1,220 grams of marijuana in his home.

Investigators said they searched 61-year-old Leo Huggin's Old Pamlico Beach Road home to find a marijuana growing operation.

In all, deputies said they seized nearly 2 pounds and 11 ounces of marijuana, six guns, grow lights, and other operational supplies.

Huggins was arrested for a felony level marijuana possession, manufacturing marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for drug activity, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Belhaven man's bond was set at $5,000.
