Lead Levels Dropping

The Greenville Utilities Commission says lead levels in the drinking water are dropping. But they are still taking precautions. Since 2004, water samples have shown lead levels 22 percent above the Environmental Protection Administration's recommended level. As of November that level dropped to 16 percent. The accepted level for lead is 10 percent above the action level. They expect to reach that level in the next few months. The lead advisory that was put in place back in 2004 is still in effect.
