State Board Rules on Princeville Elections

Two months after the general election, several races from Edgecombe County could be headed to court.

The incumbent mayor and two town commissioners appealed to the State Board of Elections after losing last November. The state board has now ruled the November results will stand.

The race for commissioner in Ward Four however is a tie, and will have to be resolved by the county. Candidates in the other two races have ten days to appeal the state's decision in court.
