Crews continued searching Tuesday for a commercial crabber believed to have gone overboard in the Pamlico River Monday night. The U.S. Coast Guard says there is evidence that 53-year-old Steven Powers of Aurora was taking crab pots out of the water Monday when he went overboard. His boat was found off Hickory Point in Beaufort County. It was still running but no one was on board. Tuesday afternoon recovery workers began using side scanning sonar to try and get a better look under the water.
