Colleges and universities are being asked to help solve our state's shortage of nurses. Those in the nursing field say less people are choosing nursing as a profession. Now state leaders are pushing North Carolina Universities to turn out more nurses to meet the ever growing demand in health care. The School of Nursing at East Carolina University has come up with several new plans to help double its student nursing graduates. One plan is to recruit more males into their nursing program.
