The skeletal remains found last November in Wayne County have been identified as those belonging to a man who disappeared four years ago.
On November 23rd workers clearing land found the remains off Arrington Bridge Road, just outside of Goldsboro.
The Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill today identified the bones as belonging to Genesis Lewis. Lewis had been reported missing to Goldsboro police in January 2004.
Investigators say Lewis was known to wander fields and ditches collecting items of value for himself. The cause of his death is undetermined, but deputies say there were no signs of any foul play.
