It was back to the skies Thursday for the Navy in Washington and Beaufort counties. For the second time this week, the Navy conducted a series of Super Hornet jet flyovers, similar to the ones conducted Tuesday.
Navy officials say the series of nine flyovers helps them gather essential data about a possible outlying landing field site, while farmers say they don't think one low-flying plane simulates what it's actually like to have a landing field in their backyard.
