Weddings Big Business on OBX

Weddings are turning into big business for the Outer Banks. An estimated 2,000 couples tied the knot on the Outer Banks last year, and record numbers attended the annual Outer Banks Wedding Association Expo this weekend in Kill Devil Hills.

About 900 brides-to-be and their support staff walked down aisles of vendors at First Flight High School, checking out everything from cakes to catering. Association President Kim Stetson says besides the bride and groom, their families and wedding party's pump money into the economy.

One wedding planner says with the exception of three days, he's already booked for all of 2006.
