No Longer Named, But Still Being Watched

Tropical Storm Dorian weakened over the past 24 hours, being downgraded to "Remnants of Dorian", according to the National Hurricane Center.

While the name has been dropped, the National Hurricane Center indicated the storm has a 50% chance of reforming in to a tropical cyclone over the next 48 hours.

We'll be keeping a close eye on the remains of Dorian through the weekend to see how the track evolves, but it would not impact our area through early next week. Any moisture associated with the system could bring an increase of shower activity to eastern Carolina next Saturday.
