We're finding out why Joshua James Kinney decided to turn himself in to law enforcement.
As we reported Saturday Kinney turned himself into Onslow County Sheriff's Deputies Saturday morning after he allegedly stabbed a marine 15 times late Tuesday night, early Wednesday morning at Paradise Point in Snead's Ferry. Sheriff's deputies say we the media actually helped Kinney come to the decision to turn himself in along with his family.
In a press release, Sheriff Ed Brown says quote "a big thanks to the press for it was the press release that prompted the positive action of Joshua's family to turn him in." Endquote.
