The closing of Greenville restaurants is boosting the dine-out spending in Winterville.

Mayflower Seafood Restaurant says it has seen an influx of customers since the boil water advisory was announced. Mayflower says it had to increase its staff and call employees in on their day off to accommodate the rush of patrons traveling from Greenville to dine out.

Mayflower says it extended its hours of operation to serve as many people as possible.
