Three Greenville men are accused of stealing vehicles and selling them to an auto salvage business.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Donald Edwards, and 24-year-olds Jokshon Prayer and Montravious Peebles are facing charges. Deputies say they discovered they were involved with stealing three cars and selling them for scrap at LKQ on Dickinson Ave. in Greenville.
The stolen cars were a 1991 Ford Taurus, a 1992 Isuzu truck and a 1998 Volvo S70. It's not clear if the rightful owners were able to get their vehicles, or pieces of them, back.
Edwards and Peebles posted bond and were released from jail. Prayer remains behind bars ahead of a first court appearance.
