Chantal's Remnants Remain Disorganized

By  |

Tropical Storm Chantal has been downgraded to a weak remnant low pressure area. The remnants will continue to carry plenty of rainfall into the Bahamas and Florida Friday into Saturday. It is not expected to regenerate into a storm but gusty winds may occur.

With all the recent rainfall across the area we will have to pay close attention to the moisture from the system. Most of the rivers in eastern Carolina are near flood stage with more rain in the forecast, especially Friday into Saturday morning.

The WITN Weather Authority team is tracking the remnants of Chantal. Stay tuned to WITN for the latest information.
