New Year's Eve is a time for celebrations. It's also a time when alcohol sales increase business for certain stores.
Alcohol Beverage Control workers say sales on the New Years Eve holiday more than double a regular day alone. They say the month of December is one of the highest grossing, but can often be one of the most dangerous. One store clerk says workers have to be careful when selling to customers, many of whom they say will abuse alcohol during the holidays.
Patrolmen Early says not only on Saturday evening, but through out the entire year the most detrimental accidents he's seen across the city have been associated with alcohol.
