Firemen were called to put out the flames five different times before a Grifton house finally burned to the ground. Now, Pitt County Sheriff's deputies are trying to figure out what sparked the blaze Tuesday at 1877 Rock Road.
The first fire started in a backroom. On Wednesday morning, firefighters were called back to the same house, this time the fire burned the home to the ground.
Officials say while the fire is suspicious, that doesn't mean foul play is involved. No one was injured in the fires.
