One gun store in the east says that it saw an increase in customers within an hour of the shooting in Greenville.
Josh Richardson with Colt's Gun and Pawn in Winterville says that around 50 people showed up to look at and buy guns and ammunition following the incident on Greenville Boulevard.
"Within about an hour of the shooting, the store just flooded with people. Most of them were people who had gotten permits and had already been putting off purchasing a defense weapon and it just really hit close to home," said Richardson.
From lunch on Friday and into Saturday morning, around 20 guns were sold according to Richardson. He also says that they sold out of different types of ammunition, and signed a number of people up for concealed carry classes.
