Greenville Police Chief Hassan Aden says expects the four people shot along Greenville Blvd. Friday to survive, along with the gunman.
Police have not yet released the names of the three people shot outside of the Greenville Walmart and the one person shot outside the Kellum Law Firm.
Chief Hassan Aden said at 3:15 p.m. that the victims were still in surgery, "so take from that what you will." The victims were shot just before noon.
One of the Walmart victims was Carroll Oakes. His family tells us he dropped his wife off and went to throw away some trash. They say the man saw blood on his hands and at first didn't realize he had been shot. The man was hit in the hand, stomach and arms, according to his family. They say he's now out of surgery and recovering.
Another Walmart victim's sister says her brother was grazed in the leg by a bullet.
Vidant Medical Center says each shooting victim received a dedicated trauma unit to care for them. A hospital spokeswoman says at the request of the families, they are not releasing any information on their conditions.
