There was barely a cloud in the sky over Roanoke Island Tuesday along the Outer Banks. Sunshine and mild temperatures made it a perfect day for a stroll through the Elizabethan Gardens. Some say it's
definitely worth a trip during the winter, when Japonica
and camellia blooms open up, and Azaleas have a last push.
You can see big head Roses and native berries, plus all
the historical statues and fountains the gardens have to
offer. The gardens are open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm seven days a week.
