Cracking Down On Drugs

A crack down on drug traffickers, dealers and users since the Summer has led Atlantic Beach police to 18 people they say are involved in different levels of drug activity. Back in July, residents there complained of drug problems in certain parts of town.

As of right now, Police Chief Scott Kilpatrick says they have made 13 arrests, and warrants are out on the other five. Chief Kilpatrick says they're beginning to see problems with the illegal sale of prescription drugs such as hydrocodone and oxycontin.
