Speeding doesn't pay, that's the message lawmen want to drive home after yet another driver lost his live following an accident in Wayne County Friday night.
It happened near the 2200 block of Emmous Church Road near the town of Dudley, where highway patrolmen say a trooper tried to pull over a red 1994 4-door Ford sedan for speeding. Patrolmen tell WITN that 19 year old Daniel Olvera Ruiz sped away from the trooper, and lost control of his vehicle. Lawmen say while traveling north bound on Emmous Church Road the driver went left of center and slammed into a house, causing injuries to one of the residents there. Ruiz died on the scene.
Patrolmen believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.
