Just how loud would the noise be from the jets the Navy wants to fly over parts of Eastern Carolina as part of an outlying landing field? Wednesday, you'll get a chance to find out. The Navy plans to conduct flyovers of the FA-18 Super Hornets to collect data on noise levels and the effect of jet noise on wildlife. Residents have been battling for years to stop construction of the O.L.F.
