Contaminated Kerosene

It's a mix-up that could have dangerous consequences. That's why the Carteret County Emergency Management office is issuing a warning.

Officials say the kerosene was accidentally contaminated with gasoline at the Seaside Convenience store in Harkers Island in the past 48 hours. If you purchased the kerosene, you are urged not to use it, as it could cause a fire.
